The #1 rule for taking care of upholstery fabrics is:
NEVER put your cushion covers in the washing machine!
Frequent vacuuming or light brushing with a non-metallic brush is recommended. Follow the cleaning code instructions indicated by the fabric contents. Consult the fabric swatch label or our fabric list, both of which indicate fabric content and cleaning code information. Always pre-test a small, inconspicuous area before proceeding. Always clean from the outside to the middle of an area to be cleaned to prevent circling.
When in doubt, or if an overall cleaning is needed, consult a professional cleaner.
W: Spot clean only with water based shampoo or foam upholstery cleaner. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not recommended.
S: Spot clean only with a water-free dry cleaning solvent. Do not saturate. Do not use water. Covers should not be removed and dry-cleaned.
W/S: Spot clean with upholstery shampoo, foam from a mild detergent, or mild dry-cleaning solvent. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not recommended.
X: Clean only by vacuuming or light brushing. Do not use any water or solvent-based cleaner.
